Hi Tina, thank you for your comment and I'm glad you loved the campaign. You have a great story, I wish I had met you while I was shooting the campaign. The Virgin Active community is amazingly motivated. It makes sense to find even just a few stories to tell out of the many in the VA massive community. Stories such as yours are a huge encouragement for others to join the movement.

Well done, Virgin Active for taking the 'risk' of running a campaign like this. What a pleasure to see some ordinary but healthy looking people with huge smiles on their faces instead of semi-anorexic females who never look as if they are having fun.

VirignActive has mad a HUGE difference in my life. I arrived there aged 52, very overweight and with a body like a plank. Thanks to some wonderful VA trainers (and a personal trainer) for a while. One particularly inspirational teacher by the name of Riaan at the Pretoria gym, kept pushing us to have attitude and to shake our hips and bodies. The result? I started Dancing Divas a year ago - Dancing Fun for Mature Women, aimed particularly at those women who will never see 30 again and whose bodies aren't what they used to be. I hope that by standing in the front of those classes, with my still larger than life body and now aged 55yr, I can be inspirational enough to persuade others to follow my path to a healthier lifestyle. And my first employed dance instructor also came form the ranke of a VA class. Check us out on ww,dancingdivas.co.za. And thanks VA for making this campaign more human.
