A beautiful short film by Jean-Baptiste Mondino features 31 upcoming actors and actresses who are celebrated in an annual ceremony “Les révélations” hosted French luxury jewelers Chaumet.

The South African Tourism’s Sho’t Left initiative promotes local travel around the country. They created this campaign which features young local creatives exploring the different provinces. Some of the creatives featured include The BLK JKS, The Arrows, Cream Cartel, DJ Black Coffee, Am I Collective and artist Mary Sibande. Maybe I really like the idea because I love road-tripping so much.

I would have posted this earlier, but it’s taken me a while to like this ad. It challenges you, like any good piece of art. I love the handheld natural grittiness of the filming. There’s also a UK version of the campaign which you can see here but I prefer the american version. Rare. I know.

Levi’s Roadwear

I saw some of these shots in the local Levi’s stores in Cape Town and I really like the spirit of the images. The campaign, created by BBH and shot by photographer Ben Sullivan, is supposed to emulate the photo-diary of a cooler-than-thou fictitious band who spend three months on the road through highways and byways of small-town California. It’s adventurous, optimistic and candid. I’m just hoping they washed their jeans at least once. In the river of course.
