I am a photographer and most of my wardrobe consists of black clothing. I agree it is classic and goes with everything.

I mostly only plan to wear black on more formal shoots and if I think I’m going to get a bit dirty. Wearing black though is largely due to my love for clean lines, wardrobe contents and it’s easy elegance. Although I do love colour, nothing beats jeans and a classic monotone combo.

Its understated & elegant
i think designers have loads of black in their wardrobe too.. i do!

Wearing black also has the nice benefit that the photographer shows up less in reflections (windows particularly).
