Lunch from Rama

Yes it’s part Marketing. Yes it’s PR. And there’s a Budget. And maybe some types of giving are even Tax deductible. And I don’t want to carry on about the African Poor, and I don’t have an interest in Social Documentary Photography of the underprivileged for political change. But then there’s all those sleeping children on the Creche floor when we arrive and I’m trying to quietly take a photo of their Picture pinned on the notice board when they were all dressed with bow ties for their special celebration day. The photo has started a creamy fraying. I’m trying not to think that they wouldn’t have had any lunch today if it wasn’t for Food Bank and for the Rama trucks filled with sandwiches. And this is just one school out of dozens in Cape Town who are getting lunch this week. And next week. And the week after.
The girls and boys in the privileged schools make sandwiches for the underprivileged schools. It’s called Lunch Buddies. Cow Africa asked me to follow and take pictures for a few days. Two things that will make you happier today. Small amounts of Giving. Being Grateful.
